My name is Dana Bowen.
I currently work as an arts and entertainment reporter in Yellowknife, NWT. Outside of covering the north’s vast artistic culture, I follow fashion trends quite closely and marvel at the styles of the past.
My wardrobe is full of polka dots, pearls, tea-length skirts and dresses with lowered or cinched in waist lines. I live for fashion from the 1900s to 1960s. I am fascinated by the history and stories behind each trend, which I often try to cover through this blog.
Although I am a born and raised Vancouverite – a place where the streets are lined with vintage shops and vintage-inspired looks, I recently moved to the Northwest Territories.
As the past consistently reoccurs on the runway, this blog is about how designers bring the past to life.
